    Well, as promised, a post of my haul. It's not much, I'm afraid, as I spent more time stuck in traffic jams than I did shopping. I did snag 3 or 4 pairs of shoes though, they're having this incredible sale and I got most of the shoes at 50%-70% markdown prices (yes, even the Forever 21 ones!).

     Oh, and I finally decided to go for the L'Eau de Chloé EDT. Perfect for summer, this scent! I'm already thinking about an outfit post with this perfume, sort of like the Nina Ricci one! Do stay tuned :)

    That is that, then! I hardly bought any dresses or shirts this time, time was scarce and we were always in a hurry. Besides, two parcels containing a total of four dresses were already waiting at my doorstep when I returned  :)  Bises ♥♥

I'm Back!

 

    Yes, I'm back from my little trip. I snapped up this adorable pair of Forever 21 floral flats with transparent sequins on my first day, they sparkle ever so subtly as you walk! Well, I'm off to dinner now, but more photos of my haul tomorrow! Bises ♥♥

    Voila! The promised outfit post ... now I can go on my trip with my conscience intact LOL  It wasn't easy taking the photos, mind ... the weather was cloudy at best, I bumped my knee against one of those columns (clumsy as per usual) and the photoshoot ended with a spectacular downpour  :(

    Dreadful luck aside, I got this Chanel lilac nail lacquer at a bargain price, and it was my main inspiration for this look. Heck, I was even wearing purple eyeshadows to match, too bad they're barely discernable in the photos  :(

New Stuff

    Here are some of my new acquisitions this month, not all of course -- the Romwe cherry print dress, beige petal shorts, some O.P.I. mini polishes, a sweet tulle hairbow and a pair of rosy brown culottes. I am still hoping to get myself a pair of shiny black oxfords for work (and perhaps white ones for weekends ;) ), fingers crossed!

    By the way, I would be going on a little trip next week, I am hoping there would be time for some serious shopping! I think I will post a new outfit this weekend (hope might be a better word ... the weekend is near, I know), and answer the comments before I embark. Wish me luck!  Bises  ♥♥

NOTES

    I have an affinity for the combination of green and gold, but now I think blue and gold are equally lovely too. I am sure you'll agree after seeing this gorgeous necklace from Romwe and the adorable quilted clutch with a gold bow by S'Aime.

    As for the outfit, you know me, I cannot refrain from anything romantic and classical. I had to stop myself from over-accessorizing ( no headpieces, no rings! ) as the intricate etchings of the necklace made for a stunning centrepiece in itself.

My Week In Pink

    One of my favourite fashion magazine topics is one where you create many different outfits using only a few items. I used to do it occasionally on my old blog.

    Well, this time I'm using 4 items to create 7 looks. The palette is mainly pink, nude, white and (sparsely) red, to match the shoes  ; )   Here are the main items for this post :

Item A :  G-market nude blazer

Item B :  Earth, Music & Ecology pink top ;  Item C :  NET tulle skirt

Item D :  Floral chiffon tube dress

Shoes 1 :  Nude bow pumps

Shoes 2 :  Red bow loafers

    I took the pictures in my bedroom, where the light was not too sufficient due to the tinted windows. That's why some of the photos are sort of grainy. I was hoping to do a tea-party theme, but it was just too tedious!

Combination :  D + 2

    Something for a summer day's picnic, I think. I guess I really miss the red checkered cloth and weaved baskets filled to the brim with yummy goodies (and sparkling drinks, a must) .

Combination : B + D + 2

    I am in love with the combination of pink and red, I don't know why. It just feels like a perfect balance of sweet and feminine ... sort of a child-woman thing  ;)

Combination : B + C + 1

    Hairbuns always remind me of ballerinas. I do my hair in a bun most of the time, it feels sooo much cooler in summer. And I hate hair sticking to the nape of my neck.

Combination :  A + D + 1

    Light blazers are a must these days. They are not too form-fitting and can be worn on both formal and casual outings regardless of seasons. Talk about an all-rounder!

Combination : A + C + 1

    Of course I won't be wearing these mile-high heels to work, I'd break my ankles in a jiffy! They are so cute, though ... perfect to look at (sigh).

Combination :  B + 1

    OK, I cheated a bit, I'm wearing very short jeans underneath to make sure nothing indecent peeks out, haha!  

Combination :  C + D + 2

    This is my first try at doing the bowtie hair a la Lady Gaga. Bad timing though, I just had my hair permed and it's all too pouffy to do a good, neat bow-tie  :(

    That's the end there, I guess. I am sorry for the awful center-part, my bangs were almost ruined during my last visit to the hairdresser and are now in recovery mode. I do like the wavy curls though  ; )  

    In other news, I am now looking forward to receiving my Lagunamoon dresses and my Romwe shorts next week. Oh, and just a word of warning, another "romantic" post coming in the weekend! À bientôt, mes amis !
