    Oh, well. Here's the weekend again and I've totally dawdled my way through the week without a photoshoot. So here instead is something I got a few days ago -- a black pyramid necklace, which you'll see in an outfit post soon enough because I'm in love with it. Like mad.

    When I was young, my mum and I encountered a very beautiful cheongsam-clad woman at a teahouse in Singapore. It has been one of our favourite memories of the traditional dress ever since.

 

    I bought this more casual version of cheongsam here with my mum last month. And I have become quite addicted despite its slim chances of outings. I can now perhaps endeavor to picture myself daintily sipping tea under the red lanterns, much like that stunning woman in Singapore so many years ago.

    I'll admit now I have a belated infatuation with fringes. I mean, September isn't really the time for the kind of summer road trip-carefree-boho look a la Free People, is it?

 

    Nevertheless, I finally found my dream suede fringe bag and come fall or not, I'm just going to flaunt it. And honestly, I think this outfit here is warm enough for fall. Those black pants and felt hat are baking me slowly under the sun like say, sun-dried tomatoes. Yum.

    Late afternoon on the balcony. I was trying to get this over with ASAP before the neighbours saw me. They usually don't, but this skirt is like the yellow of traffic lights, you can see the rust/orange from say, 3 miles away ... maybe. Super visibility aside, this is one of my favourite pieces à présent. So so versatile.

 

    My 2-year-old imp of a niece is coming for a stayover this weekend, which unfortunately renders chances of a photoshoot rather slim. Well, have a great weekend, mes amis, while I contemplate on the complexities of a wet diaper. À la semaine prochaine!

September Days

 

 

    My September begins pleasantly enough with some really nice stuff from ShopAKIRA and beckybwardrobe. I'm still on the lookout for Western boots, albeit the waning summer, and perhaps a cowboy hat to match. My floral dresses are perched delicately upon my armchair, fresh from outings. You can say I'm clinging desperately to my warm weather days (sob)!

    I'm walking my dog here ... in case you don't know! This is a rather special dog, it hails from Singapore, prefers laptops to dog food and does not mind the rain in the least bit  :P 

 

    I'm pairing the outfit with these electric blue nails by UNT because they just stand out against the red of the dress. Unfortunately my dad think they are sort of hideous so I'm removing 'em in a jiffy. I'll be going for a safe nude next, I guess  LOL

    Many apologies for going on a week-long hiatus without posting. I had a nasty stye on my left eye last week and had to put off my photoshoot plans while it healed under daily (awful) antibiotics and obssesive warm compressions.

 

    That aside, we celebrated my sister's birthday with a party at her place a few days ago, which was where I nicked these balloons. They match so well with the "cloud dress" from Romwe and my new sky blue nail lacquer by Essence, non?
